SEO has now become a popular word on the web as the numbers of web sites have increased… Everyone wants to get a good position on search results on top search engines… Here comes the importance of SEO…
SEO is a process to secure a good place on search engines… If you want traffic then you’ve got to have a top position on search results. Search engines use different procedures to index pages on their main index.
For example Google uses an algorithm called GoogleBombing. They calculate the number of sites that link to your page and their relative popularity. They have introduced a new term called “Page Rank”. Your page can be ranked from 0 to 10. The higher the page rank, the higher traffic you get. If your site is linked from a high page ranked page, then your page rank will be affected and your rank is expected to increase. So people often buy links from popular sites. Thus they optimize their pages.
But without buying links you can also get a good rank. You may notice that Blogs that have labels or categories get better position on search results. My wordpress blog is listed on Google Search ( Not only blog search but also the main search ) but my Blogger blogs are not listed. The mystery is having categories fool google. Google thinks that the main page of the blog has so many links towards it because each category has a link back to the main page. So i.ve created Labels for my blogs now. Let’s see what happens now…
Publishing articles on Forums with your site url could be another good solution for non-paid SEO….
